Solución concentrada de
Bacillus thuringiensis
100% effective against
wax moth larva
B401
B401 is a safe and environmentally friendly product based on a concentrated solution of the Bacillus thuringiensis microorganism.
B401 is used in honey material after harvested honey, when storing the pictures. With a single application, it achieves a 100% effectiveness against the wax moth, an efficiency that is maintained until the paintings are used again in the following season.
B401 is a concentrated solution of Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies aizawai, a microorganism harmless to humans and honey bees.
B401 has an Efficacy of up to 100% against the larva of the moth of the wax (Galleria mellonella).
B401 is a 100% biological product that leaves no residue on the wax or honey and does not alter its characteristics. It is also an ecological product (it does not damage the environment).
B401 is ideal for use in organic beekeeping in accordance with the provisions of Council Directive EEC No. 2092/91 as amended on 24 June 1991.
B401 guarantees protection over a long period of time. All you have to do is apply a single application to protect the pictures until the following season.

When should B401 be used?
B401 should be used after harvesting the honey, at the time of storing the pictures. The protection will be effective until the frames are reused in the following season.
B401 can also be used to protect traps or hive lures for swarms.
B401 removes young larvae from the wax moth and should be used as a preventive element before the combs are infected.

Pack of 120ml. (For 10-15 supper) and 1 liter container (for 85-125 supper).

Preparación
How to prepare the B401?
B401 must be diluted to 5% in water (1 part of B401 with 19 parts of water).
Calculate, before mixing, the amount of product required to treat the number of frames to be protected.
Once the calculation is done, vigorously shake the container to measure the amount of product needed in the water for dilution and mix well.
The prepared dilution should be used on the same day.

How to apply the product
Application: Mode and quantity
Apply 1.5 ml of solution per 100 square centimeters of honeycomb, on both sides of the table, which gives on average 25 ml of solution per Langstroth box or 12.5 ml for each ½ melon box.
The following guide can facilitate calculation of the amount of B401 required.
The product B401 is packaged in bottles of 120 ml and bottles per 1 liter.
Treated frames (standard Langstroth) :
With 120 ml B401: 70-100 / With 1 liter: 585-835.
Method of application
The preparation should be well shaken to homogenize properly before use.
Apply using a spray or spray to distribute evenly over the entire surface of both sides of the frame.
As an alternative, it can be applied by immersion, introducing the frames into a container containing the solution, soaking for 2 seconds and then withdrawing, blowing the head down to remove excess solution.
Before storing let dry the boxes completely, in a well aerated place, in order to avoid the formation of mold due to moisture.
-
Storage and Preservation
Store B401 in its original container at a temperature between 15 ° C and 25 ° C. and protected from direct sunlight.
If kept in a cool place (less than 12 ° C) and in the original unopened packaging container, B401 can be stored for several years.

B401 Safety
Unlike other products (such as parydlorobenzine) toxic and banned in many countries for any type of agricultural use, B401 leaves no residue on wax or honey.
The serotype Aizawai 7 (present in B401) is the only variety of Bacillus thuringiensis that gives excellent results against the wax moth, without toxic effects, being harmless for the operators, as well as for the larvae of bees and for the adult bees .
Other serotypes of Bacillus thuringiensis are toxic to humans and bees.
